Ashley House operates eight homes serving communities throughout the South Sound, North King County—including Shoreline and Woodinville—and Spokane. The On-Call Scheduler helps support staffing needs across our residential programs, with specific coverage assignments based on operational needs.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The On-Call Scheduler is an integral member of the scheduling team and is supervised by the Scheduling Supervisor. This is a part-time, remote on-call position. The On-Call Scheduler works from home using a computer and phone to coordinate shift coverage in response to employee call-outs and other urgent scheduling needs.

Duties include responding to employees who call out for scheduled shifts; documenting the reason for each call-out; contacting available employees by phone and text to secure replacement coverage; updating the schedule as needed; attending scheduling meetings as requested; and providing a detailed report at the end of each on-call period.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age;

  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check, including an FBI fingerprint-based criminal history check;

  • Must be available and responsive throughout all scheduled on-call hours;

  • Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally in English. Bilingual abilities are a plus;

  • Must have reliable home internet access for use with a company-issued laptop to access scheduling systems and email.

  • Must reside in Washington State and remain physically located in Washington while performing scheduled on-call work.

REGULAR SCHEDULED HOURS:

  • Works Every Week: Works either Wednesday or Thursday: 1630 (4:30 PM) through 0830 (8:30 AM), one 16-hour on-call shift.

  • Works every other weekend: Friday 1630 (4:30 PM) through Monday 0830 (8:30 AM), consisting of one 16-hour shift and two 24-hour on-call shifts.

  • During scheduled on-call hours, the employee may sleep and engage in personal activities when not actively responding to scheduling needs. However, call volume and workload can vary significantly. Some on-call periods may be relatively quiet, while others may require frequent calls, texts, schedule updates, and follow-up throughout the evening, overnight, or weekend.

  • The On-Call Scheduler must remain available and responsive for the entire scheduled on-call period and should expect that work may occur intermittently throughout the shift.

COMPENSATION:

  • Regular Base Hourly Pay: $17.86-$30.27 DOE

  • Pay for On-Call Hours: $124 stipend/on-call 24-hr shift(amounting to $5.16/hr), plus base hourly pay for work performed during on-call period.
