On Call Scheduler (South Puget Sound)

The On-Call Scheduler is an integral part of the scheduling team and is supervised by the Scheduling Manager. This is a flexible, part-time position. The incumbent works from the comfort of home, via a computer and phone, to coordinate shift coverage in response to emergent call-outs within our Auburn, Kent, Browns Point, Edgewood, and Olympia homes. Duties include: Utilizing a cell Phone to respond to employees calling out for their scheduled shifts; Documenting reasons for each call-out; Sending texts and phoning employees to secure replacements for the vacated shifts; and, Providing a detailed report at end of on-call period;
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
· Must live within a reasonable commute to Federal Way, WA
· Must be at least 21 years of age;
· Must be able to pass an extensive criminal background check, which includes an FBI fingerprint criminal history check;
· Must be available and responsive during all hours scheduled as the On-Call Scheduler;
· Must possess the ability to proficiently communicate in the English language and in a professional manner. Bi-lingual abilities are a plus.
· Must have home internet access to utilize with company issued laptop computer to access the schedule and email via internet
REGULAR SCHEDULED HOURS:
· Works Every Week: Monday & Tuesday 1630- 0830 (16hr On-Call shifts)
· Works Every Other: Friday 1630 through Sunday 0830 (one 16hr & two 24hr on-call shifts)
· Note: Sleeping and performing other personal activities during on-call hours is allowed, with the expectation and understanding of availability and responsiveness to calls received during the on-call hours.
COMPENSATION:
· Regular Base Hourly Pay: $17.86-$30.27 Depending on experience.
· Pay for On-Call Hours: $124 stipend/on-call 24-hr shift(amounting to $5.16/hr), plus base hourly pay for work performed during on-call period.
