Are you handy with home repairs and eager to help others? Ashley House is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Maintenance Assistant to support our seven Puget Sound homes, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for the individuals we serve.

In this role, you will assist with maintenance across seven unique locations:
Auburn Pediatric Home
Browns Point Pediatric Home
Edgewood Adult Family Home
Kent Pediatric Home
Olympia Pediatric Home
Shoreline Skilled Nursing Facility
Woodinville Pediatric Home
Key Responsibilities:
Performs and assists in performing grounds and building maintenance.
Performs and assists in performing a variety of home repairs, including basic electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, drywall installation, painting, and appliance maintenance.
Responds to maintenance requests and completes repairs in a timely and efficient manner.
Ensure all work is performed according to safety guidelines and standards.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience: At least two years in maintenance or a related field.
Technical Skills:
Basic proficiency in using various tools and equipment, including power drills and hand tools.
Familiarity with basic home repair tasks, including plumbing, carpentry, and painting.
Comfortable reading and interpreting measurements using a tape measure.
Problem-Solving Ability: Capable of assisting in diagnosing and repairing issues with strong troubleshooting skills.
Physical Capability: Able to lift and carry up to 50lbs. and assist in lifting greater than 50lbs., as required by our safety guidelines.
Certification: Valid Healthcare Provider (BLS) CPR & First Aid certification (or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire).
Driver’s License: Current Washington State driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Additional Requirements:
Must meet health requirements, including Covid-19 vaccination, Flu Shot, Tdap vaccination, and TB testing.
Ability to pass a criminal background check and maintain clearance throughout employment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.29 - $31.63 per hour based on experience and education
