Human Resources Coordinator

The Human Resources Coordinator (HRC) is a member of Ashley House’s Human Resources Team and serves as a strategic business partner, overseeing  the Human Resources Department’s administrative projects, processes, forms, and records management.  Additionally, this position serves as Ashley House’s on-site Web professional.

This position is onsite the Administrative Office, located in Federal Way, Washington, and reports to the Director of Human Resources (DOHR).  Major responsibilities include:  Upholding and promoting Ashley House’s values, policies, practices, and expectations;  Overseeing the establishment and maintenance of an efficient and accurate file and records management system for the HR Department, including archiving and document destruction; Coordinating and overseeing the State background clearance processes for current staff members; Establishing and maintaining personnel and ancillary records for Ashley House employees and student preceptors/interns;  Tracking and ensuring compliance for employee certifications, immunizations, continuing education credits, and other Licensing documentation requirements;  Performing administrative and training functions for New Employee Orientation;  Creating and distributing employee ID badges; Maintaining the HR employment web pages and assisting in completing general website updates, ensuring consistent and professional content by training all administrative users;  Overseeing and/or completing HR administrative functions, including but not limited to: Monitoring and responding to the HR email and fax; Creating and maintaining of HR Forms;  Maintaining all I-9 records and compliance;  Making purchases for the HR Department; Conducting research;  Creating reports; and, Assisting with special HR projects, strategic initiatives, and Licensing activities, including liaising with State Licensors regarding background compliance, employment requirements and program Licensing file reviews. 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least 21 years of age;

  • A Bachelor’s degree in HR Management, Organizational Leadership, Business Management or related field.  Relevant professional experience may substitute year for year for the educational requirements. The addition of a Certification in Human Resources Management or SPHR preferred;

  • An ability to pass, and maintain throughout employment, an in-depth criminal background check with the State of Washington, including personal references, and an FBI fingerprint criminal history check

  • A current Washington State driver’s license or valid driver’s license as an active duty armed forces personnel or dependent of an active duty armed forces personnel;

  • Proof of an acceptable driving record through the provision of a driving abstract on annual basis or as requested, with the ability to be insured to drive agency vehicles;

  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs -  Office 365, Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred;

  • A working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Pro;

  • An ability to learn and operate within the Squarespace platform to perform general website updates, with the ability to work with the contracted graphic designer for major website updates;

  • Proof of a valid Tdap, Flu, and COVID-19 immunizations and ongoing annual updates per licensing requirements;

  • Proof of valid negative Tuberculosis (TB) tests (1- or 2-step Skin/Chest X-Ray/Blood QuantiFERON)

  • A solid proficiency in the English language with professional communication skills including interpersonal, verbal, non-verbal, and written communication, with the ability to read, analyze, and interpret common employment laws, policies, manuals, and documents. - Bilingual abilities are preferred;

  • Ability to maintain constant professionalism, critical thinking, and objectivity.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

This full time position compensation ranges from $30.29 – 37.49 per hour dependent upon prior professional experience. It comes with a full compensation package including Med., Dent., Vis., Life, Dis., HRA., Matching 403b7, Paid Time Off, and Paid Holidays.
